Abstract:
The information technology (IT) market is one of the most dynamic in the world. Traditionally, this market includes such segments as computing equipment, computer peripherals, software and IT services. University
IT graduates must have a wide range of competencies, which are universal for different subject areas. One of the
ways to update knowledge acquired by students is constant monitoring of competencies required of potential
specialists in this field, which can be useful to developers of educational programs for universities that graduate
information technology specialists.
The article deals with the analysis of the IT-sphere labor market using modern tools of applied statistics.
The results of such analysis can be used both by potential applicants with experience in the relevant field and by
university representatives (students choosing the most interesting field for them in IT, as well as university
teachers).
