Abstract:
The paper presents the results of experimental studies of wear of abrasive cut-off wheels and the vibration velocity of their oscillations under different cutting modes. It is established that the cutting process does not damp oscillations of the abrasive cut-off wheel sufficiently, and the elastic hydromechanical system of the machine has insufficient vibration resistance, as a result of which its vibration velocity during cutting exceeds the
permitted limits. To improve the efficiency of the cutting process, a deeper study of the elastic hydromechanical system of the machine is required, as well as the development of measures to increase vibration resistance.
