Abstract:
The results of the research of connection between air temperature and the condition of asphalt concrete pavements are presented in the paper. The experimental research was carried out to determine the surface temperature of the asphalt concrete pavements during the summer months. The temperature effect over the depth and the stress of the pavement was calculated under the temperature and transport loads. As a result, the recommendations on the choice of binder (type of bitumen) and means to reduce the formation of shear deformations in asphalt concrete while maintaining highways are proposed.
